Why Should I choose Feast & Fest to cater my event?

Feast & Fest is known for a winning combination of delicious food, beautiful food presentation, and truly professional service staff.

This reputation is based on consistently satisfying clients and their guests as well as our experience and valued relationships with event planners and venue owners and managers who appreciate our professionalism, work ethic, and congenial spirit

The quality of our food is directly linked to the quality of the ingredients we use. Everything that Feast & Fest serves is made by us, from scratch, with the best ingredients we can source.

In addition to the wonderful food and attentive service that we will provide on the day of your event, you will have unlimited access to your event manager in the days and months, leading up to your event. They will help organize and coordinate your rentals, suggest other experienced event professionals, visit your event location, coordinate with your planner, and create a methodical service scenario that will ensure our team will be in sync and organized from set up to breakdown.

We understand the importance of each event and provide each of our clients with the same level of service, with the goal of relieving as much stress as we possibly can in the planning process, and delivering a carefree and flawless catering performance, so you and your guests can enjoy your event to its utmost.

What is the average price range for a catered meal supplied by Feast & Fest?

There are many different factors that can affect the price of your meal. The major factors are: menu selections, guest count, length of event, distance of location from Santa Barbara, and style of service, for example, buffet or plated.

By providing us with a few details about your event we can discuss options relative to your budget and give you a much better idea of the catering cost for your specific event.

Why The Name Change?

Before becoming Feast & Fest we were know as SBB Gourmet Catering, a business with a stellar reputation, but a name that was sometimes tricky for people to remember correctly. SBB Gourmet Catering started as Santa Barbara Barbeque 10 years ago and has progressively offered more elegant menu offerings while keeping in touch with our humble BBQ roots. Our chefs prepare some of the best Santa Maria style tri tip on the central coast and our grilled chicken has been known to win over even the most demanding client.

How long has Feast & Fest been in business?

In 2016 Jessica Miller took over ownership from Sidney and David Raney, after 6 years of being a main player in the company's operations and management. Santa Barbara Barbecue, the company's first designation, was started in 2004.

How far in advance should I book the caterer for my event?

It is never too soon to reserve your date. Many venues are booked over 1 year in advance, so it’s not unusual to have the caterer booked at that time as well. Dates in the height of the wedding season (May-September) should be booked 6 months in advance. However, do not hesitate to call about availability at any time; we can often accommodate last minute requests.

Can we sample your food?

We would love for you to come in and meet us to taste all we have to offer. Tastings are a great time for us to meet with our clients in person to discuss the details of their event.

We do have a $25 per person tasting fee, and should you choose to sign with us of $50 of your tasting fee will be applied towards your deposit.

Do I need to have a budget in mind before contacting Feast & Fest?

It is always helpful, but not necessary to provide us with a budget when requesting a proposal. Knowing your intended budget will allow us to better customize a catering package to fit your specific needs. If you do not have a budget in mind we will be happy to provide you with a range of options as a good starting point as well as suggest how your budget might be best allocated with the goal of providing you with the best menu and service at your event.

How do I reserve Feast & Fest for my event?

Once we have customized a package to fit your needs, a signed contract and $1000 deposit ensures that your event date will be reserved.

What is the average guest count at a Feast & Fest?

At SBB Gourmet Catering we have the capability of catering large corporate events with fifteen hundred guests, moderately sized weddings, and even small elegant dinner parties. Most of our events are for one hundred to three hundred guests; however we can always customize a package to meet your needs.

Can you recommend other vendors for our event?

We would be so pleased to suggest one of the many wonderful event professionals in the area to work with you. We have been working with many great photographers, rental companies, planners, musicians, florists, bakers, and more for years. Do you supply rental items?

Feast & Fest does not directly supply rental items such as dishes, silverware, glassware, tables, linens, etc. We can however arrange for rentals on your behalf in order to ensure that you will have everything you need to make your event a success. A large majority of our events take place at locations where almost everything must be brought in and we know exactly what will be needed for any type of event. Take advantage of our expertise and allow us to take the often confusing task of rentals off your plate.

How far from Santa Barbara will you travel to cater an event?

Feast & Fest will travel anywhere our clients need our services. We spend the majority of our time within a 70-mile radius of the city of Santa Barbara.

Can you prepare custom menus for an event, and can you also accommodate special dietary requests or needs for guests, such as gluten free, vegan, vegetarian?

Many of the items you see on our menu started out as a custom menu item for a previous client. Because everything is made by our chefs in house, it is very simple to alter a dish to suite your tastes or come up with something totally new.

Our chef and managers are well versed on special dietary needs such as gluten free, and we provide vegan or vegetarian options with every meal.

Can you provide alcohol, wine and beer and bartenders?

Our license permits us to serve but not sell alcohol. We can provide you with a personalized beverage shopping list so you know just how much to buy. There is no corkage fee for the beverages you provide.

We are able to provide you with our professionally trained and certified bartenders. They will not only ensure everyone has a great time, but will also uphold responsible alcohol serving practices to keep your guests safe.
